In der Woche vom 16.04. bis 20.04. nahmen insgesamt 47 Schülerinnen und Schüler des 7. Jahrgangs am Londonprojekt teil. Eine Woche lang lernten die Schülerinnen und Schüler die Sprache, Kultur und Geschichte Englands als auch die Stadt London näher kennen und gestalteten gemeinsam Lapbooks:
Our project started on Monday. All students from different classes got together and we got to know the project. We had a “Today`s Challenge” checklist including ten different tasks: We learned a lot about the history, famous people, culture, food, London`s sights and we read some famous stories, e.g. Paddington Bear, Jack and the Beanstalk or The Three Little Pigs. On Tuesday we made some pop-up cards. Every student chose a different sight and created a pop-up card. At the end of the day, every single pop-up was stuck on a poster to create a huge map of London. On Wednesday and Thursday we worked on our lapbooks. We worked in groups and chose a topic about England or London we liked best, e.g. the Queen`s Walk or the Buckingham Palace including the Royals. We had lots of fun and time went by very fast. On Friday we presented our lapbooks to the other students. After that it was tea time and we had some tea and made some cucumber sandwiches. Afterwards, we took part in a quiz about England and London. All in all, it was a great week and we learned a lot.
